When pleasure moves pain.

Trauma, the nervous system, and the impulses we carry.
A 3 min read. A 4 min video.  New course in Zipolite

I wanted to share this 5 min clip from my documentary Unshamed.
Most of it was left out of the final cut, so this is more of a behind-the-scenes glimpse…

It explores a theme I see with clients again and again:
The relationship between trauma, the nervous system, and the sexual impulses we carry.

Our fantasies are not random.
They emerge from circumstance, history, nervous system conditioning, archetypal patterning.

They can be windows into parts of ourselves seeking healing, resolution.

Fantasies, kink, and erotic desire can be attempts by the body to complete responses that were interrupted long ago.

Expressions of healthy aggression.

This perspective excites me, mainly because it’s grounded in neuroscience, and it continues to shape how I understand desire.

It's one of those ways of moving pain with pleasure.

Check out the video.
And if it resonates you can join one of my courses either in Spain
in September or Zipolite in December.
(thats a new one!)

With love,

Marc
