Understanding transformation

I'll never forget my first conversation with Tucson-based shaman Kenneth Ray Stubbs.

It had only been a 2-minute chat, to say hello and fix an appointment for the next day, yet I found myself lingering, staring hypnotically at the computer screen after the call ended. I needed a few minutes to recompose as a very strong feeling I couldn't explain overwhelmed me, like a warm flood of energy running through my body, morphing into a tingling sense of delicious bliss.

As this feeling lasted well into the next day, I felt called to mention it to him when we spoke, telling him that simply being in his virtual presence for a short period of time, exchanging a quick smile, hello and glance had left me floating on clouds.
"This is my work." he said, sounding almost as a scientist wearing a white lab coat and pointing to a complicated chart. "This is energy."

It was January 2016, and I had just finished journeying through Brazil, following experiences in Liberia, Mongolia and Barcelona which had initiated me to the world of Shamanism, one I previously knew very little about.

I began to understand that there were many types of shamans but that ultimately their work was to seek information and wisdom from the spirit world to bring change and healing to our 3D world. Along the way I had found out about a concept called Crystal beings, people who carried such developed energetic frequency that simply being in their very presence enabled healing and transformation.

This led me to the work of Ray Stubbs, a shaman who's specialty is ushering people on a path of transformation. The work isn't traditional shamanism as it doesn't involve actually "speaking" to spirits with words and the ceremonies are not as theatrical.  But to say that my life was transformed after a few months of working with Ray would be quite accurate.

My relationships to money, romance and with my family (the main areas of my life) have all been tremendously altered. I have managed to connect to my path of purpose, I generally feel I have an easier access to bliss in any given moment, and best of all, I have gained the ability to enable transformation in others as well.

As I began to develop transformative capabilities, I was curious what would happen if I married these to my interior design skills, aiming to create spaces that could change people's lives. This led me to create Sacred Transformative Spaces.

I first tested the concept, on my home, my workspace (and those of guinea pig friends) and was astonished by the results. People first reported feeling more at peace, in harmony, then more inspired, creative, more alive, then magic started to happen. Relationships, money, career opportunities started to appear.

So before any of these changes begin to manifest in the life of a temple dweller, it's essential to understand where transformation comes from and how it happens.

What is transformation?

Transformation is defined as a change of form, usually a positive one. If you say, "Oh i bumped into Chris, he had completely transformed!!" one would insinuate that something had probably improved. The way I see it, there are only two ways that any person can change. We can either become more aligned to source*, thus closer to our true, original self, or further away from it.
*For reference, I tend to use the term source to represent what most people refer to as the creator, the universe, the cosmos, God, divinity...
When we are closer to our authentic being, everything around us aligns and the right things begin to be drawn to us.

We are energy.

The next step to understanding transformation is to know what we are made of.
Quantum physicists have demonstrated that we are energy. If we have a look at our composition in a microscope, we see we are an oscillating, geometrically-arranged system composed of cells which are composed of molecules which are composed of atoms. When we look at these atoms, we see empty space and realise they are mainly energy. Therefore, we are in fact energy, we are movement.

It has also been demonstrated that through a process called entrainment, these systems begin to oscillate in the same way as other systems they come in contact with. This is when transformation begins to happen.

The longer or more regularly a system is in contact with another, the more it can vibrate and function like it on the longer term and real change can therefore be enabled.

This brings me back to Shaman Ray and his wondrous capability to make me feel bliss by simply being present with me for a few minutes. Previously to meeting Ray, a few people began to speak to me of the concept of Crystal beings, people who can shape and influence the world around them simply with their presence. In his case, Ray spent years developing his energetic capabilities by connecting with Buddhist monks, Rinpoches, other very advances teachers and by travelling to sacred energy power spots. His being had reached such a high level of development that merely by being in his presence one begins to have access to some capabilities which enable growth, development and deep impact.

As we are composed of energy, we also have energy patterns, structures, and functions and in this case the communication, transformation and healing simply come from accessing energetic capabilities from other dimensions or from "the other side" as I like to call it. The "further out" we get our "information" the closer our capabilities are to those of source and the more we can bring transformation to our lives.

Water and the power of intention

Its also been demonstrated that our beings are 3/4 water; 72% to be exact. (we will see in a future article on numerology why the exact number 72 is important to note). Scientist Masaru Emoto famously experimented with water to prove the shaping impact of intention on our beings.
In his studies, he exposed water to thoughts, words and music and studied the effects.
When the water was exposed to harsher energies, such as hateful words, heavy metal music, etc, the water crystals which were observed were asymetrical, unattractive and appeared damaged. When exposed to loving and compassionate words, or heartful music, they formed beautiful, symetrical and balanced crystals.

Even more interestingly, when the water was completely abandoned, with no interaction whatsoever, the crystals were formed in their worst shape.

The images below indicate water crystals impacted by love and compassion and gratitude, and water crystals impacted by heavy metal music.

Emoto's books sold over 400,000 copies across the world and his work was was considered ground-breaking as it demonstrated that our intent, emotions, thoughts and words are energy and that they impact our beings in profound ways, affecting our water bodies.

“Half of the earth is water; our body is three-quarters water. Water represents the interface between the 4th dimension in which we live and the 5th dimensional sphere of our soul.”
-Dr Emoto

Intention + intensification

While intention is enough to get the ball rolling with regards to growth and development, increasing intensity is what brings about real lasting change. This is what people like shamans and other types of healers usually do.

In fact, a study by the institute of noetic sciences in the US has shown that when people are in repeat contact with a spiritual teacher who has achieved a certain level of mastery, such as a shaman, it has an energetic impact on their being which indicates development which also manifests by indicating a development of their Limbic lobe, the area of the brain responsible for emotional responses. This explains scientifically why I would begin to transform in the presence of Shaman Ray and how he developed over the years as he sat with masters across the globe.

And our homes ...?

Now if we are all oscillating energetic systems made of 3/4 water, where does that leave our homes? Not that far off actually...

Are homes and everything around us are made of atoms as well (therefore they are energy) and are also composed of water. If they weren't they would be no more than a pile of dust or sand, such as those found in a desert! So if our homes are composed of water, and Dr Emoto has proven that emotions, words, music and general intent will impact water, that means that the effects of all of these are also stored within our homes. And our homes being are oscillating systems, they will impact us as we linger in them.

This explains why we feel better in certain spaces rather than others. A grand museum or a sacred cathedral are less likely to have been exposed to trauma which would negatively affect our energy patterns.

The whole principle of energy affecting space is the basis of Feng Shui. Chi, as they call it, needs to flow freely and be balanced for a space to have its full effect. This usually requires that the Yin energy (female) and Yang energy (male) be in harmony.

This is a concept that was also seen universally in the construction of ancient temples.

The oldest existing temple known to man is the temple of Tiwanaku in Bolivia which is 17000 years old. Records reveal that temples such as these were usually built as a spaces for transformation, constructed in such a way that they were aligned to source and that our atunement to them through rituals would remind us of our divinity, enabling development

Houston, we have... a solution.

Taking it all one step further (into the cosmos perhaps?) our personal research and experimentation has also recently found that when we affect spaces through re-programming, we create energy fields which are similar to hot spots found in specific areas on the earth plane.
Note that the afore-mentioned temples of transformation were all built at the foot of energy hotspots as these were the locations where we were more likely to transform.

Between 2008 and 2012, hot-spots officially evolved past being a concept solely for hippies as NASA began to publish reports confirming their existence and explaining how they function. The agency described these as portals scattered across the earth which open and close every 8 minutes allowing us to have access to information, energy and knowledge of the sun.

As energy of the earth originates from its magnetic poles, energy lines called telluric lines are formed, crossing the earth. The portals NASA speak of are found at the meeting points of these lines, where the energy is particularly strong, they are atuned with the frequency of source.

This explains why people trek to Machu Picchu or the Himalayas of Nepal when they are seeking wisdom, or to find themselves.

The magnetic origins of these areas mean they contain a great amount of magnetite, and since our blood contains a good amount of iron, when our beings are exposed to this element, a deep resonance is created. Magnetite is also found in the human brain, which means there is an additional resonance with the earth's energy fields, and our the pineal gland in the center of the brain also gets triggered, affecting the levels of melatonin which are released, (The happiness hormone). As a side note, the Mayans used to also believe that activating the pineal gland had an aligning effect on the chakras.

So all these different interactions within our being explain why repeat exposure to energy portans can often create a numinous effect on a being. (Numinous often being defined as something close to enlightenment) or even help develop psychic abilities.

Bring it home.

So while we may have known for a while that visiting temples, sacred sites and being in the presence of masters helps us grow and develop, the idea of bringing this level of development home is still quite new, unchartered and even considered quite radical by some. It is however crucial. For transformation to truly happen, and for it to be sustained, we need to have continuous access to these capabilities. Otherwise what happens when we return home from our pilgrimage? Very little of the effects will remain.

Maintaining a continuous connection to these energy fields through in our homes will bring lasting impact not only the "resident soul" butvisiting souls as well, serving as a sort of antenna to source for the benefit of all.

Get started.

When Ray and I started developing this work together, the energetic component was key and we developed practises which are now called space activation, and space whispering. I will talk more about these and how they work in the next article which will be about spatial energy and energy "clearing" (the more commonly used term).

In the mean time, your homework today is simply to get acquainted with the information in this article, simply becoming aware of the composition of our beings, our homes and the relationship between both and source.

To take it a bit further, I suggest spending some time tuning in to the energy around you, in your space. When someone speaks something either good or bad in your home, or when you play a certain type of music, when people laugh or cry, take a minute to feel what lingers in the air.  How does it feel? Where does it resonate? And since we are connected to our homes, can you notice where you feel it in your being?

Sitting with these feelings and emotions, even visualising how they may be affecting the energetic composition of our homes and our beings is a very beneficial first step, as awareness is key in the activation of a personal growth and transformation process.

Enjoy!
